About This Website

Hi, I'm Minkyeong Lee. I go by Leanne. I'm originally from South Korea and I love Canadian shopping malls. I especially love seeing old pictures of malls that I frequent. I love seeing how they used to look then compared to now. I even love seeing how the people looked and how they dressed.

My goal is to take pictures of thousands of stores from Toronto & GTA area malls & markets, and even some street stores. Years from now, people will browse this website and feel nostalgic, just as I do when I see old pictures of Toronto malls in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

Sometimes mall shoppers get in the way of the pictures. I like to imagine what's going on in their lives at that moment. Years from now, this website will be a historical snapshot of people and retail in Toronto. All of the pictures on this website are dated.

All of these pictures are taken by me or my boyfriend, Tino, unless otherwise noted, like the pictures in the Shopping Mall Model series, for example. They're not for re-use. However, if you want to use any of the pictures, ask me for permission first. Also, email any other questions you may have through the contact form through the link at the top of this website.
